Since returning from Nepal, infused & inspired by this plant
I set forth to pay homage, in art and in light.
this vision, the tree of life, making it self known.
with communion, only deepening the bond.
creativity on high.
A true ancient sacrament,
Rosetta stoned.

Engaging my endocannabinoid system,
for the 40 days it took to construct this piece,
I was, every time, philosophically stoned.
A part of my rule working on this piece,
that every time I sat down at the studio,
a sativa was first to be introduced.
So that I could express the plant, to the best of my ability. Fused as one.

& praying & working I was, having just made it in time for the Tanglewood Festival gallery, with 1days rest. Really grateful to have been apart of that incredible gathering.

There is so much this plant is connected to, I would say it’s one of the most important for us all.
Much more than I can go into here, but worth your own inquiry. From food, to medicine, to fibres and textiles, to fuel and paper, to divine inspiration, communication and much much more. One may begin to really ask, why so much control?..Why the suppression ? What’s that all really for?

We’re giving thanks to this sacred plant.

Here is some of my recommendations for connection with this plant.
-Visit some of its homelands, I suggest trekking in Nepal.
-Grown your own medicine, which means, organic and outdoor.
or support local farmers. Feedback loops with the land and the growers love are key.

-Cultivar and Dosage is much of it all. You’ll have to find what works for you.
-Set & Setting ( do I need to say more?..)

My personal journey has been with
Yoga and Cannabis, especially Travis Eliot’s work over at
www.innerdimensiontv.com, / His Youtube. For it’s all about Balance. Yoga & Cannabis were made for one another.
and when balance is felt, creativity blooms.

My suggestion is also to find the right balance ,working with this plant, where it enriches your life , not takes away from it .
I found the some Sativas to be the best for me, regarding creativity, socialising, clarity and energy. Shout out to Heavy Dayze and his cultivar “Rushton (Super Silver hash plant x RMQ)” what a gem.

Books like, “Cannabis & Spirituality” or “Psychedelic Cannabis”, or “The Bud & The Lotus” have been helpful,
or more historical and occult books such as, “Cannabis: Lost Sacrament of an Ancient World”, or “Libre420” may guide the way.
or Films such as “Cannabis: A lost history” or “Kaneh Bosm The Hidden Story of Cannabis in the Old Testament” will point a little nearer.

Leadlight window.

Planta de luz — one of my favourite designs to date. Initially it was a small window built whilst I was living in Golden, British Columbia, a little prototype that could still fit in a suitcase.

This window began my love for this geometrical style and rainbow earth tone colour pallet and was a very formative piece in my leadlighting journey.

I knew I wanted to make it into a larger design when I could. 3ish years later and now back home in Australia, that vision is now complete.

It’s been a epic process and a huge teaching piece. Working at this scale was new to me, the thick lead was great to work with, but due to the weight of the lead and glass , it was the first window I have had to reinforce. Also I learnt alot about colours and glass and trying to match the glass I had in Canada, but only when finishing the piece did I realise my mistakes haha, so this version is different to the original piece (if only you could change the tones of glass like you can with paint). All in all, good lessons from this experience.

Art is a funny thing in a way that the audience only sees an end result, finished or unfinished. But never do they see the internal process. This journey is reserved for its maker alone.

Art makes the artist.

& this piece has sure shaped me, it’s been months since I began it and sat unfinished in the studio until a few days ago when I cemented it together. It feels good to now be on the other side of this work.

I love this craft, this type of methodical art. An art of process, from inner vision to something tangible. You kind of know the way, but you have to assemble it. Piece by piece. Creating a new threshold between worlds. Outside and in. A window.. in collaboration with light. For light is good medicine, and coloured light makes me happy in whatever home it finds itself in.

I hope this is the first of many large windows for homes and architectural spaces. Let’s see what comes through next.

Inspired by our relationship with the bees and flowers. It was an honour to make a piece for this space. It was a confluence of many passions. Beekeeping, the honey bees, medicinal plants, poppies, craftsmanship, visionary space. The power of colour and the magic of sound.

Here you see a cedar built enclosure around a Kenyan top bar hive (4 hives in fact). A daybed has been created on top of the hives, within this resonate environment. To facilitate vibrational medicine and connection with the hive for someone to experience.

These folks know their plants and I’m sure can facilitate some incredible journeys in there. 🌵🌞🐝 so to have a piece exhibiting in this temple for someone to see with elated eyes is a really special invitation.

I can’t wait to visit someday.

It was a fun project, with a colour palette that I am not used to. Yet it was a good growth edge to work with an existing window and to incorporate the colours of the poppies in bloom.

In honour of the holographic rainbow mind flowers the san pedro cactus gifts. And also to complete the series and story of the recent lotus leadlight based on the a cactus journey a couple years back.

I have enjoyed working on these technical works whilst travelling in the van around the west coast of British Columbia.
Im enjoying working with the colour pallete of earth tone and rainbow in my glass works And i look forward to the day where i can work on larger pieces in a bigger studio space.
Yet for the time being these technical works (66 glass pieces in each) are giving
me the practice and skill to work towards the intricacy i wish to see in future key works. Which has been a real gift.

The geometry in this work. Has been a theme over the last few months. A seed, which has sprouted a few works. You can see a version of this mandala in both “the spice melange” and also “jewel in the lotus”. Noticing that all my works just shape shift into the next. Everything a stepping stone.

This piece has guided me to new areas of study, using this geometric template, i feel to be discovering a realm that i had only previously known through internal geometry in psychedelic experiences.

it feels good to be using a natural, living geometry to guide my stroke, and then translate these findings into glass.

“Jewel in the lotus”

Lotus flowers are so special aren’t they. Revered by many, for good reason. This window is based on a lotus i met back in Australia.
At a cactus ceremony with Huachuma. We swam in the natural pools on the land, surrounded by lotus flowers. One in particular, a burgundy lotus which had the most transcendent fragrance, it was a true jewel in the lotus.

All experiments and collaborations with light. I had fun mixing four fold geometry with six. And how it all interconnects. Hope you enjoy

‘NEXUS’ - SOLAR TALISMAN

The intention for this talisman is that it would keep one aligned to the light of truth, to navigate these ultra polarising times of true and untrue realities.

Nexus was a design born on the Lions Gate 8/8th 2020. When sirius our twin star is amplifying its vibrations with our sun.

The talisman was hand cut by @jeanburgersjewellery on sundays, which in alchemical philosophy is the day of planetary correspondance to the Sun. The talisman is also cut from gold which is the metal also in correspondance to the sun.

In the center of the mandala, radiates a Pyramid faceted Citrine, which is a stone for the sun. And the background is Paua shell, which reflects the rainbow of light.

The lions gate portal 8/8 marks a yearly anniversary for new creative vision and practice in my journey. Each year, setting a new theme for the cycle ahead. And this piece is anchoring in that vision.

This is the second jewellery collaboration we have created together. The first one “through the water she spoke” . She is a master craftswoman. Hand cutting all of these works. I am constantly in awe of her outputs, and i truely love working with her. The back and forths , the changing of designs, melding two minds into one. The refinement, the art. Its a joy. This design came through around the lions gate, when our twin star sirius is doing its annual helical rising with our sun. Always an inspiring time for me. And again, it was a pleasure to be collaborating with light once again on this project.

I feel more glasswork wants to come through , and offering one on one weekend workshops with those who wish to learn the craft, will soon be on offer.
~
This is my third leadlight window. Alot of challenges with this piece, the intricacies, and also internal right angles with glass is quite hard to do.
But its fulfilling as much as it is enduring. The curiosity of what is possible with this medium, is what drives me to discover. Little stepping stones along the way to bigger projects to come.

I dream of a entheogenic nursery soon developing with coloured light, through and through. 🌵✨ temple spaces with visionary art glass. And homes with coloured light dancing within . Because , it makes you feel good & Theres no limit to the imagination

“Sirius Rising” WIP
Had a glyph come through yesterday, in honour of the lions gate , specifically “sirius rising” . As sirius our twin star, is doing its annual helical rising (coming up at dawn before / with the sun) . This was apparantly a celebrated time in Ancient egypt. Look into that ;)
Personally , i always have art come through at this time each year.

SCREEN PRINTS IN THE STORE

Created on the Lions gate 8/8 2020 "nexus" + "Sirius rising". i opened the channel early this year. on the 3rd of August, when it is said the lions gate begins. and created the glyph. which acted like a seed. for the "nexus" work which was made on the 8th of the 8th.

This work , will be stain glass, lead light piece. and then the circular mandala "nexus" will be a fusion of wooden mandala and also lead light window. as i fuse the two styles together. to create something truly unique. This is what is being set up for my work this year.

“Albizia” • 2019 🌸
Inspiration came from the “Albizia Julibrissin” tree I was living with and drinking in the northern rivers half way through last year. Such a gentleness, and radiance seen from across the garden. Also known as the “full happiness tree”, which is something I had hoped to capture. One of my favourite gateways to date. Serving as inspiration for mandalas to come 🌿
a lodalite stone which i synchronistically found sits in the center.

Connecting cultures with oriental design and amazonian patternwork , the flower portal in the center, and the layering of entheogenic realms, the feeling of wood and stone. The beauty of presence . “In light of the lotus”
This is my second leadlight panel Ive created, first on my own. Its been nice to design in this medium. In brief Its a homage to the Egyptian blue lotus, and my time spent in Egypt in october 2019. There is a bit of hexagram geometry in there aswell. In symmetry, harmonising of two forces, as two worlds unite

Blue Lotus is a beautiful flower with a long history of use in the Eastern world. Used by the Egyptians as a sacred plant, the growth patterns were used as a metaphor for rebirth. In Buddhism, the lotus is a symbol of a symbol of spiritual victory. Blue Lotus has been used traditional as a dreaming tool; enhancing lucidity, calming the mind, and aiding in deep sleep. It is also well known for its aphrodisiac qualities. Nice as a tea, extracted in wine, or combined with other plant medicines

The window sits in a recycled chunky wooden frame, and will be installed above a bathtub in my house someday. The window is 60x45cm apprx

to honor the indigenous cultures who weave there tapestries and embroidery , that have inspired me through this life. This design is based on a mandala that has been inspired by the kingdom of the mushroom and all is kaleidoscopic wonders. The Design for this piece came through on the 8/8 this year. A special portal day for me, in which i have created art specifically on for the last 3 years.

for the last 3 years i have received an art work and created effortlessly on this day. last year it was Albizia and the year prior the design for lions gate came through. i have enjoyed playing with the idea of cyclical time, and creating a groove in the universe for artwork flow through.

this piece reminds me of inner workings with psilocybin mushrooms. yet it also carries a bit of a tapestry, carpet, jewel like nature to this piece.

i enjoy the Lions gate portal, as it opens me into new directions in my artwork. the inspiration is something im very grateful for.

On-going work , learning from the tradition of Japanese wood block printmaking. Since January 2019 , Harry has been self learning the art of Moku hanga. His wishes to enter into the realms of story telling with this medium. The first piece is a story about the creation of his mandala “Dragons Gate”. Depicting a ceremony with Huachuma, the Cactus. At a beautiful space within Australia. This block represents his loves, Architecture, Art and Visionary Plants. In traditional Japanese Style, WIth Kanji “Grandfather Ceremony”. Finished with a carved frame to match the work.

Caapi - 2019
The design for this gateway came after dieting two plants. b.caapi and bobinsana. Having a very bland diet, no spices, salts, sugar, garlics onions, other herbs ect . And by focusing on these chosen plants. The caapi leaf and bobinsana. , in attempt to learn from them in dreams and waking. I have been making a tea morning and night, and creating art. A practice i wish to only deepen. They have been lovely allies for the dreamworld, and generally feeling quiet open and peaceful due to the calm diet and the medicines of these plants. 🌸 So this is the story of the plants 🌿 and a learning to hear them ~ I proceeded to spend 3 weeks sanding and staining the wood after cutting the pieces out. This work is warm , and multi layered. drawing you closer to the center of us all.

This pendant is one of a limited series of unique works created in collaboration with Jean Burgers. Using the center piece of my mandala “ Through The Water She Spoke” , Jean created an amazing pendant design . from 6 layers of handcut copper to form this intricate pattern, riveted them together with a slice of green tinted paua shell using sterling silver rivets, and set a beautiful green tourmaline cabochon as the heart stone.

a portal gateway on the chest : dedicated to Gratitude and to the Hope that in these complex times, we may find unity through a common language of the heart.

Hieroglyph came forward after ceremony with T.Bridgesii Cacti,
and the days proceeding Earth Frequency Festival. Finding myself in the Northern Rivers Region of NSW. I was surreounded by mountains that appeared as pyramids. I wanted to honor the medicine from my experiences, and create a blue print for a gateway between the distant worlds of the ancient past. attuning to this wisdom temple , the cacti and our ancestors work there alchemy of the heart. unlocking all the keys within.

Last year I designed “Lions Gate” on this day, and this year set myself the task of creating another piece. It had been a month since touching the sketchpad, yet happy with the results for this will be the foundation to some more smaller pieces to come.

Vj mandala (adem jaffers) & I collaborated at 2018 EGA: Entheogenesis Psychedelic Symposium. This legend has been projection mapping australian festivals since the 90s. Was great to collaborate with the tibetan dreamtime mandala and his projector . Covering a wooden mandala with sand to catch the projections in the evening. Starting a relationship together for events to come :)

Lions Gate Portal 2017

This transmission was dreamt in Bali, Indonesia on the 8th of August - also known as the Lions Gate Portal.
As the sun went into Leo we experienced a Lunar eclipse, which personally, marked the beginning of an intense 2 week period leading up to the total solar eclipse on the 21st.

The piece represents abundance; the energy of the time. Transmitting the courage of the lion, to walk through the portal : collectively. anchoring in our dreams and moving towards a life sustaining society, as our planetary consciousness was focusing on one moment - such as an eclipse - a powerful energy was directed.
Especially in Ubud, where synchronicity led the dance, into the beginnings of our architectural project "abode"
. Feeling the pull to move into sacred healing spaces and reconstructing the global architectural paradigm.

Véronique Rachel and I are manifesting these cross cultural huts where mandalas meet architecture. a small start, with the big portrait not far behind :: sacred cozy spaces. to converse and contemplate existence.
a portal representing the connection between people and their environment. The graphic for the work comes from a walk with San Pedro cactus and our recent trip to Indonesia, we aim to bring to these nice cozy places to festivals and ecovillages around the world. With the intention of deep energetic potency, teaming with different tools of amplification (such as tachyon, orgonite, crystals and grounding technologies) - these will not only be beautiful, but harmonizing in so many ways. Wave and line. flow within ridged structures, a pulse of love and life within pure consciousness. aiming to harmonize these two forces within and without. Eachother , this space, our relations at large. Bridging Our world views , our cultures , and traditions , while our two universes collide

inspiration came from a long stay at emerald gardens in Croatia,
surrounded by beautiful and supportive hearts. Special thanks to igor for holding the space, where i could work in flow + sophia for her guidance. adam @gardnergram for the project teamwork. And thank you to véro. the designs came briefly after a series of events in Portugal followed by a aguacoya ceremony in Florence . and here at the gardens i had the fortunate opportunity to be micro dosing psilocybin mushrooms. forming creative symbiosis. I believe they are truly responsible for this art. credits to them and to the long evenings with santa maria + the yin yoga excursions during this time. These mandalas form a pair when completed. Coming from the same source, yet with there own feeling, one more sun, and the other moon. Yet both contain within another parts of themselves, a friend once said "i am the little pieces of everyone i have ever met, but i cherish the parts that where yours". Through hongito messages balance was required at the time. So I felt by creating a tool using masculine and feminine forms; the wave and the straightline, a flow within ridged structures, a delicate pink lotus flower pierces the square . I had hoped to extend this tantric dance of uniting energy into the space on site, and ultimately into ones very being. A manifested symbol of this intention. Here , these concentric forms suggest a passage between different dimensions, or one state of being moving into another, and acts as a gatepost and also a catalyst between the two .

sound played a very important role in creative catalysts. rediscovering the 432hz freq, and also exploring artists such as
Ishq with his ambient tracks "yu" and "bhakti", and especially the depth that ":star birthday - ambientium" provided. shaped sonic currents of sudden inspiration channelling what vibrations where needed. Working with the entheogen, I hope that signatures is read, and later received by initiates under the influence at strawberryfields. see i find these mandalas appear as wood, yet you may now see, contain multitudes.
a microcosmic representation of all these experiences, present.

The integrative purpose of the mandala has its beginning and its roots in an attempt at self orientation. with man in the center of his own relative time/space locus from which he receives cosmic consecration. whatever is in front, behind, to the left, and right of him become the four cardinal directions; whatever is above and below become the heavens and the earth; what was yesterday and will be tomorrow becomes time past and time future- and the center is always the individual, the bearer of the awareness of the eternal . . . now.

The Sacred Prism 2.0 , Strawberry fields festival 2015 - 2016

What a project! three countries, many temporary working spaces, unstable Internet and many distorted Skype calls, we managed to get vision into drawings across from Thailand into a 4.6 m high manifested portable pyramid, in under three months. Glad to have been on board for the ride girls. But respect goes out to the building team and all those who supported our crowd funding campaign, this was our gift to you!

The Sacred Prism Girls reached out to me mid 2015, as there architect fell through on there project. Having received my contact from a friend in Ubud, i agreed to meet and design the project

Ancient Egypt has always appeared to me in vision, and have felt the calling to remember a lost advanced civilization from quite a young age. As my first solo design project outside of University, it couldnt have been more in allignment.

in 2016 I Had my chance to finally see it in person.
appreciating all the performances and workshops on offer. participating in morning yoga classes and even finding a quiet moment alone under the apex to play the hangdrum . these girls continue to amaze me , growing and sculpting a perfect prism village of the heart . thank you kitty, brodie, milky and the building crew.

I visited Emerald Gardens in the North of Croatia in 2016. Staying 3 months, as a volunteer assisting in the creation of the Strawbale Temple Earthship. I learnt many things living here, it was a big initiatory phase in my life. Emerald Gardens is a place of learning the inner and outer worlds. Thank you Igor for all the teachings

I stayed 3 months at Gaia Ashram in Thailand in 2015.
This is where i was first introduced to Natural building techniques. We created these Mud Brick walls for there yoga shala & learnt about permaculture principles, which have served as a foundation for my growth.

After completing the Adv. Building Design course at RMIT, I continued my studies with 6 months of the Bach. Architectural program, before meeting Matt Bird “Studiobird”.

Leaving university, i began working alongside Matt full time for a year. During this period we collaborated together with Charity Edwards on the Napolean Perdis Flagship store on Chapel Street, South Yarra, Melbourne.

It was a real pleasure to work with Studiobird. Matt was a great mentor, freeing me from university , and teaching me to design out of the known .

Finishing the 2.5yrs Adv . Diploma of Building Design at RMIT University and proceeding to finish 1 semester of Bach. Architecture.
I Left University to work at STUDIOBIRD, before travelling overseas to learn the art of Natural building. During this time I designed a 7m based nomadic pyramid for the Sacred Prism for Strawberry Fields.
Which would be the first of many projects as a solo visionary.

Aiming to fuse art and architecture, with the earth once again.
